How to Get Started with HubSpot Direct Mail Integration

Getting started with HubSpot Direct Mail Integration is as easy as sending a postcard within your HubSpot once it’s set up.

Step 1: All you need to do is install the app which your printer will provide you with a link to get started. Then provide your printer with your HubSpot ID so a plugin can be installed.

Step 2: Provide your printer with your postcard artwork or reach out to their design team for assistance. Once your artwork or postcard options, have been uploaded and your plugin is installed, there will be a workflow action that will appear and will show all your postcard art versions.

For all CRM integrated direct mail the postcard art specifications are:

  • The size must be 6” x 9” so that your postcards qualify for Postcard Commingling which helps you save money and assures your postcards arrive to their destinations quickly.
  • Your postcard art must be submitted in PDF format.
  • Your postcards will be printed in full color on both sides.
  • You can place design elements anywhere in your postcard layout except for the mail panel area on the back side which should include a 4” x 2.25” space in the bottom right corner.

To make the design process easier, and to ensure your postcards are printed perfectly, you can use the PDF template below, just place the PDF in a separate layer in your design platform and then turn off or delete the layer once your design is completed.

Step 3: Once everything is installed, you will have a new option in your workflow actions that will look similar to the image on your right. To configure the action simply:

  1. Click on the new option, and set the fields you want to use for the mailing information including first name, last name, address, etc.
  2. Select the product version which or the art or type of postcard you want to send. You can always add and remove postcard options.
  3. And that’s it, press send!
