The Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park's mission is to acquire, document, preserve, and display materials of historical significance related to the boatbuilding industry in Middlesex County, Virginia, and the lower Chesapeake Bay. This includes a special emphasis on preserving the rich history and its impact, as well as ensuring the future of boatbuilding skills.
The nature park provides and maintains a habitat for indigenous flora and fauna, which visitors can enjoy while visiting the museum or participating in activities.
Conquest Graphic's managed print services allow the team to streamline their mailings and workflow, increasing efficiency, optimizing equipment usage, and improving timelines for outreach, membership, and fundraising efforts. Most all mailings require letters, envelopes, and return envelopes, in addition to follow-up thank you letters for donations and ticket purchases, all of which necessitate envelopes, paper, and cardstock.
The organization regularly sends mailings to the community regarding memberships, renewals, and events such as Groovin' in the Park, Shrimp and BBQ Dinner and Dance, Annual Meetings, and the Oyster Roast. They also mail vendors and other contacts with information about their markets, children's activities, raffles, and other fundraisers. A monthly newsletter keeps the community informed about the latest updates, events, volunteer opportunities, and more.
The costs associated with envelopes, postage, tickets, and manpower are substantial, especially given the short deadlines and last-minute changes inherent in the seasonal timeline. The efficiency of print management services is crucial in ensuring the organization can reach their community in a timely manner.
The recipients of these mailings include current and past members, visitors interested in participating in fundraising or volunteering, and anyone who has donated money or time. The managed print services allow the organization to reach more people faster than they could do on their own, while still maintaining the ability to produce some in-house printing. This saves time, money, and energy, ultimately improving the organization's outreach performance and reducing the risk of losing potential donations, members, and volunteers.
A Conquest Graphics Grant would be highly beneficial, helping the organization continue its mission and potentially increase its communication and services to the community. This would allow them to focus on other aspects of growth and development, such as expanded children's activities or lectures, while also defraying major costs and improving their donation and fundraising strategies.
