Colorado West Performing Arts Company

Colorado West Performing Arts Company is a non-profit 501c(3) arts organization that is a professional ballet company, located in Grand Junction, CO.  CWPAC's mission is to bring professional performances to rural communities of Western CO including areas such as Montrose, Telluride, Rifle.

CWPAC

CWPAC employs thirteen company artists that have relocated to Western CO to perform both formal performances as well as different outreach opportunities to the community.  Formal performances include four full length ballets and/ or mixed repertoire concerts such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid.

Making performing arts more accessible has shown how important it is to provide families and experiences with friends and family. Dance gives audiences the opportunity to use their imagination, create and share the emotions they see conveyed by the dances and dancing artists.

Creating personal experiences with meet and greets following each performance has also proven to be such a delight for both our artists as well as our audience goers.  We have through time, seen more kids choose to dress up like certain characters portrayed in our story ballets and having the opportunity to take photos and meet following performances.  By doing so, CWPAC provides memories to last a lifetime as well as evoke and inspire youth in our community to follow and pursuit their goals.

Colorado West Performing Arts Company is in their third season. Performance seasons in the performing arts world coincides with academic schedules. With the need to employ so many artists to create what's needed for these performances, we have used many print marketing methods to spread the word of the company.

For every ballet, we use printed posters to hang around our communities, often up to five hundred per production.  In addition, postcards are often printed for lobby areas, to give to friends as well as direct mailing to our patron list.  We often create presence in parades as well so typically print flyers to pass out at given parades.  Often distributing up to three thousand.

Most importantly, we use program booklets for our ballets to not only insert a synopsis on the ballet they are about to see to help better follow but to educate the more on our company and organization.  Our booklets compose of show credit acknowledgements, sponsor and donor recognition, sponsor advertising, upcoming events, cast list of all involved as well as company cast photos, bios and headshots.  This has proven to create a keepsake and souvenir for our patrons as well as the chance to get some fun autographs following each performance.

While so much of the world is going digital, it remains that print advertising and needs are still desired.  People enjoy getting special invitations in the mail, visual reminders and moments of knowing dancers seen on posters and flyers as well as the keepsakes the programs/ playbills create.  While CWPAC continues to grow with their mission to bring professional performing arts to rural communities, we are ever so thankful for every bit of support received along the way.
